VEGAS

It turns out growing up isnt all that fun when you both have full time jobs and i work random hours sometime. Jeff has been a good sport about not seeing me on saturdays and me working till 8:30 some nights and not spending tons of time together before one of us falls asleep watching tv. So it was a shock to me to check my schedule at work and notice that i had TWO FULL WEEKENDS OFF OF WORK!! i was so excited! We immediately started planning a weekend getaway, so.... VEGAS HERE WE COME! we took off on friday as soon as i got off of work, and had the long drive down. Jeff's car is a stick shift so i have no clue on how to drive it, so jeffrey had to drive down the whole way, ha poor guy. Jeff has never been to Vegas, and i havent been for a few years so we were excited to get down there and relax and have not a worry in the world. We stayed at the Hilton hotel and so excited not to have a thing to do all weekend, this has not happened in months. We got up saturday morning and walked the strip and saw all the sites. I happen to fall in love with purses and shoes, but it turns out spending $200 on a purse was just not going to happen! we had so much fun hanging out with each other the whole day! We got to see the fountains and all the other fun stuff. Ha i think jeff was a little taken back by how many crazy people were at vegas. Jeff had been checking out our hotel online and was sooo excited for the pool, it look so nice in the picture. So we headed down to the pool and jeffs first words after seeing it was "where is the big pool" ha unfortunately the pictures lied to us and it was very small, but we still got to swim and cool off in the million degree weather. We ate some very good food while there. Buffalo wings are one of my favorite food, so of course we went to Buffalo wild wings. We also went to Serendipity and to Max Brenner's(sp?), it was amazing, best desert i have ever had. We got to sleep and relax and do anything that we wanted. All in all it was a good weekend!
Since i am now 22 and still have yet to gamble, this was the trip to do it! but every time that we would go somewhere i would forget to grab my ID, and since i still look about 16 years old i didnt dare gamble without it. So at 4:30 in the morning when we were leaving vegas i finally got to gamble, so sorry i look like death but it was so early! and no i didnt win a thing, but i can now say that i gambled in vegas!

Lee Life

People are weird, ha i have come to this conclusion after working at supercuts for the past couple of months. Some people say and do the weirdest things. I learn more about peoples marriages, childhoods and pretty much everything else in there life by just cutting there hair. It makes my job so interesting. I LOVE IT!! Here are a few simple rules that i wish people would use while getting there haircut:
  1. please do not let your 5 year old decide how they want there haircut, they have no clue and it will just waste 10 minutes of my time when all you need to do is tell me how to cut it.
  2. please do not wait until i am done with the whole haircut to tell me you want something different.
  3. please do not have really really gross hair and not let me wash it before i cut it.

Following these few rules will make it easier for everyone:)

Summer has been treating us well, Jeff has started his internship and really liking it. He gets up every morning and puts on his snazzy suit and leaves to work. My shifts change alot, i work either mornings or nights and have a couple days off a week. We are having lots of fun living in Morgan. Nothing beats going to Stephs for tangies or going on four wheeling rides. Jeff is turning into a country boy slowly, yeah never thought that would happen he has already

  • driven the tractor
  • driven four wheelers
  • mowed our enormous yard
  • and as of next weekend will be going to his FIRST rodeo! YAY!

We have been bitten by the "i really want this " bug, and have been looking at all the nice cute houses up here, it makes me really want to move into a nice pretty house....someday:) Jeff would also add to this list a nice 40" 1080 p(whatever that means) flat screen tv, ha someday for that too!

This is Jeffs giant smore, ha he was pretty proud of it!
Jumping on the tramp with the sprinkler under it=alot of fun:)

One year down....an ETERNITY to go!!

we have survived 365 days of marriage, and it was the best 365 days of my life! I would always hear how the first year of marriage is the hardest, for me it was alot of fun! i have learned alot from being married.
Here is a list of things we have learned
  • i will never life sports as much as jeff, no matter how much i try football will always be boring after an hour
  • jeff will never appreciate my shows, somehow say yes to the dress and the bachelor just dont amuse him
  • we will never eat the same amount of food, so always cook more than i think we are going to need
  • He will never get why i like to just have a few bites of his food rather than get a whole plate of my own.
  • it takes me longer than 10 minutes to get ready, so give me a warning before you would like to go somewhere
  • laughing can make an argument seem silly

Jeff has honestly been the best husband in the world! He always made it a point to wake up when i do, to make me lunch and to walk me down to my car. Our anniversary weekend didn't go as we had originally planned. We were all ready to head to Vegas for a weekend get away, but i got a job at Supercuts as a stylist and couldnt ask off any time from work. So instead we decided to go out to the Cheesecake factory. That place probably has the best food ever. We had so much fun just going out on a date. He also surprised me with roses, and a necklace and earrings. After all this we ate our one year old wedding cake, and it was surprisingly good.

Since i did get this new job, and i am loving finally doing hair but, i had to move up to morgan before jeff could. This is a WARNING to everyone that is married, living in a different place than your husband is not fun at all. Luckily we have two short weeks left before jeff will be up here full time with me.HORRAY!! I have also become a part time babysitter to three, my niece and my 2 nephews. Ellie is my little miny me. She is only three but i have turned her into a princess. She enjoys shopping, trying on clothes, wearing makeup and everything else. These kids also love UNCLE JEFFY! So everything is going good, bring on the sun, warmth and SUMMER!!

21 DAYS!!

21 DAYS!! 21 days until Jeff is done with school, which means 21 days till summer!! i am really looking forward to this summer, last summer i spent my whole life at hair school, this summer, niether of us will have homework, tests, projects or finals that we have to do FOR A WHOLE FOUR MONTHS. I have a whole long list of everything that needs to happen this summer:
-become tan again, go outside and not have to worry about wearing a coat or it snowing, running outside, boating, drive-in movies, bbq's, fireworks, wearing flip flops! the list could go on and on. The thing that i am most excited for, GOING ON A CRUISE! my parents are taking me and jeff and my brother and sisters on a Europe cruise for me graduating hair school and for jeff graduating college next year. I am so excited that i can barely stand it. This will be jeffs first time to Europe and his first cruise, so its going to be so much fun. This will be our last summer adventure in august before school starts back up again for jeff.
We have had tons of decisions to make lately but the one that i am most excited about is JEFF GOT AN INTERNSHIP IN UTAH! He has been looking for internships for the past 3 or 4 months and he finally nailed one, i was so proud of him. He will be working in Salt Lake. we will most likely be moving out of provo for the summer up to Morgan, to live with my parents to save some money, and it will be nice to get out of Provo for a few months. I havent lived in Morgan since i graduated high school. I am actually really excited. Jeff is warming up to Morgan, i will turn him into a small town boy in no time:) Jeff also is coaching for Mountain View high school, he is one of the JV coaches and loves it. It is so fun going and watching him coach. Our life consists of working, school and soccer. Most nights are spent jeff doing homework of projects and me providing him support by sitting next to him and watching tv:) I know its really supportive of me! Oneday we will know what its like for neither of us to be in school, but as for right now, 21 DAYS CANT COME SOON ENOUGH!!!

The Perfect Valentines Day

Our very first valentines as a married couple! And i couldnt have asked for a more perfect day! Lately our schedules have been crazy, it seems like BYU is ruling Jeffs life lately, needless to say summer cant come soon enough! I became super excited for a date night out with Jeff, dinner and a movie sounded perfect! We both have to be up by 6:30 every morning, so i made breakfast when we got up to start out our day! As we both rushed to get ready in time, i left to work and jeff to school. Half way through my day i got a pleasant surprise to see jeff show up at work with a dozen roses! ah i was so excited to see him! He had even gone and picked all the roses out one by one by himself! I rushed home after work to get ready to head out to dinner, when i arrived home, i noticed rose petals on the floor leading to our room, jeff had rose petals on the bed with a teddy bear, chocolates, and a card! i was so surprised. The card could not have been more perfect and the whole thing just made my whole day! Dinner at the olive garden and nomieo and juliet was the end to a perfect day! Jeff truly was the perfect valentine! i couldn't ask for a more loving husband to make me feel special and so loved!

LIFE:)

Ever since we got married, i have always had such good intentions to start a blog, but just never got around to it. Well today is the day! Just to recap on the past year and a half. I moved to provo, three weeks later we met and started spending all our spare time together. January=engagement, april=best day ever. The summer was spent at seven peaks, long days at hair school for me, and jeff working. FALL, jeff started back in school at BYU, and i just had a few months left of hair school. i finally graduated in November and December couldnt come fast enough, Christmas break in florida, what else could we ask for. Now that we are all caught up, it brings us to our life:) We are currently looking for internships for Jeff this summer! We are excited to see where we end up! i am just working now, but also looking for a job in a salon! 10 months has flown by, i cant believe we have almost been married a year. so to sum everything up, 2010 was a good year for us, cant wait to see what 2011 brings:)
